Day 5 - Early Evening

Good news!  Dad's breathing tests have improved!  The two measures (NIF and NFC) have improved since his tests this morning.  He has finished his first plasmpheresis round and seems to be doing ok.  He was a bit tired at our afternoon visit, but still in better spirits versus yesterday.  The sensation in his hands has changed, and we are hoping this is a signal of possible healing.

Keep up the prayers - we love you all!

Jean

  1. Mrs. Derr,
We have been saddened terribly to hear about Jacque's illness. We are so very sorry this has happened. You, your children, grandchildren, and extended family are in our daily prayers. You have taught me to rely on faith from a very young age...and mine has got to be the size of a mustard seed compared to yours. Jesus is your strength. If there is anything I could possibly do please don't hesitate to ask. We love you dearly,
    Susan & Richy

  3. Derr Family,
I want each of you to know that I have been praying faithfully for your dad and you. Last night the Lord laid this on my heart and I just felt compelled to share this with you. Isaiah 40:31 says "but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint". I hope that you and the Judge can find some comfort in this and know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Give it to God and give Him the glory. Tell the Judge that he has to get better so that he can keep giving me a hard time in court!!! Please if I can do anything at all just let me know.
    In love and Christ,

  8. Judge Derr and Family -- You all have been in our constant thoughts and prayers since we learned of Judge Derr's illness and have been following the blogs since they began. There have been soooooooooooo many prayers going up for you all and from the sound of improvement, God is working his miracles. Hope that you all know that we are only a phone call away if you need anything. May God bless each of you and wrap his arms around you all at this time while he is continuing to work his blessings on the Derr family. The Frank Yerby family
